This is a versatile clamp designed specifically for holding metersticks or comparable objects parallel to slender support rods, typically measuring half an inch (12.5 mm) or less in diameter. The clamp features a clever mechanism that utilizes 10-24 hex nuts to generate the necessary clamping force, which can be effectively secured with either a 10-24 machine screw or thumbscrew. To ensure a rock-solid hold, I personally prefer using Loctite 40140 adhesive, but any cyanoacrylate-based super glue will also deliver impressive results.
