Meter Housing
thingiverse
I've been holding off on publishing this because some of the stl files haven't been compiled by thingiverse to display the thumbnail. I have uploaded both ASCII and Binary versions in an attempt to get thingiverse to create the thumbnails but not much success. I've downloaded the stl files and they don't have any issues that I can find so I have decided to publish this design anyway. Housing I used for the analog meter for my K40 Laser. I know the meter should be a 0 - 30 ma but I had a 0 - 50 at the time. Since creating this I purchased a 0-20 ma meter as I never go over 15 ma when using the laser and it fit the housing perfectly. I recommend printing the meter fit test file to verify that the meter you are using will work with this housing before printing the housing. If your meter doesn't fit I have included the RSDOC file so it can be modified as needed. (DesignSpark 5.0) The meter mount has a place for a wire tie to hold the wiring in place and recess for 8mm x 3mm (Harborfreight) Magnets to hold the housing on the laser while making it easy to remove for quick access to the laser tube area. I've tested the meter with and without the magnets and I haven't seen any difference in the meter deflection but you may want to test this yourself before gluing the magnets in place.
With this file you will be able to print Meter Housing with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Meter Housing.
