This project is inspired by the conference paper, “Metamaterial Mechanisms,” by Alexandra Ion et al. In the experiments conducted by Ion, traditional methods of manufacturing are used to produce laser-cut rubber mechanisms. In our experiments guided by Dr. Greenly, we investigated the viability of creating such metamaterial mechanisms using 3D printing.
