Metal rose and stand

This is a project I made that I'd like to share with others. This consists of 2 metal roses, made of copper and stainless steel, to join the petals to the, stem I used electrical solder for the copper and a tig welder for stainless.The stands can be joined with a heart lock in the middle, or can be freestanding individually, there is also a customizable text plate at the front for you to personalise for your gift recipient. I did the periodic element abbreviations of the alloysAlternatively if you don't want to deal with the metal work but like the idea, you can replace the metal roses with 3d printed ones such as these: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:84075What you will need-Tin snips-Solder and soldering iron-Flux (optional but recommended)-Copper sheet metal offcuts-Electrical wire or copper pipe around 8mm-A 2D printerInstructions for rosePrint out petal template pdf on a4 paperCut of parameter of petals with scissors (paper)Use double sided tape to stick petal template to copperCut out petalsUse a file to take off sharp edgesDrill a hole in the middle to suit your stem material diameterPut your petals onto your stem and solder them in place 1 at a time, from largest petals to smallestuse plyers to bend the petals up and curve slightly, starting from the top (smallest petal ring)(optional) Cut leaf shape and use a chisel to hammer veins onto copperPrinted stand instructionsPrint settings up to user really, I did 20% infill and printed in ABS, bottom lip will need to be deburred for nice fit into other standPrinted text-plate-You can edit model in blender by clicking the text and changing it in edit mode, font type, size etc. Then export it as STL-Print with supports for center alignment I didn't use supports so had to grind the alignment nub off, comment if it doesn't fit and I will update the modelYou have 2 options for contrasting textAdd gcode to pause at layer 12 to swap filament coloursPrint is one colour, paint it and sand the top of the text to reveal plastic behind
