Metal roof support lock joint
thingiverse
We've created a parametric model that accurately simulates the metal roof support lock joint for mining operations. The intricacies of this model are stored within an extensive data table, with each row dedicated to a standard roof support size. This ensures that the model's geometry seamlessly adapts and adjusts when the record number in the table is modified. Using finite element methods, we thoroughly analyzed three key roof support sizes - 22, 27, and 33 - to gain valuable insights into their behavior under stress. Furthermore, we carefully defined a critical condition for contact between support elements to strengthen the lock joint, thereby ensuring enhanced stability.
