This is an upgraded metal output shaft for the gearbox that features a herring bone gear. To get it to fit, some sanding of the original housing will be necessary. The next step is to modify the housing so it properly accommodates the metal shaft. Edit: A new gearbox cover has been added. The old one can still be hand modified, or you can opt to print a larger one that fits perfectly.
