This is 2 part system designed to hold and align steel stamps over aluminum or other metal bracelet blanks. These blanks come in 3 standard widths, ¼", 3/8" and ½" and the most common steel stamps are either 6 or 7mm.There are 2 designs of the body, one with tabs that fits over the commonly found 50mm square steel block and holds the bracelet blank centered over it or one without tabs that can be used on any size steel block. Each body has a guide slot on the underside for your bracelet blank that will perfectly align your stamp in the center of the blank. There are also recesses on the sides for a secure grip and to protect your fingers and hands from errant hammer blows! Ouch!! How to use the system: Choose the body that you need (tabs or no tabs) for the right width of your blank, chose the size of the stamp holder (either 6 or 7mm) and slide them together. There's a bump and divot to keep them locked together. Because of the way I designed it, there's a clear view of the area to be stamped so you know your letter/numbers are spaced evenly (or follow a guide tape if you have those) unlike the big name companies holders which make you look over the top of you're work in order to see what you're doing. There's no need to disassemble the whole thing when changing stamps either, just pull the old one out, move your blank to the next spot, slide the new stamp in and BANG, done, and next!! If you make a lot of bracelets, like I have, this is a HUGE time saver and makes for a better finished product as the stamp will hit the center of the blank EVERY time and be square instead of all wonky and cockeyed unless that's the look you're going for which is ok (or if you bought cheap stamps from some random company)special note: any crookedness of the letters on my bracelet example is due to me buying “cheap” stamps that had wonky letters, not because the system doesn't work.
