My wife has been metal detecting on the beach for some time, but she was not satisfied with the commercial scoops available to her. I designed this tool in collaboration with her input and feedback, and it's a prototype she really likes. The design was created using high-speed printing technology, which means it may not be visually appealing, but it is highly functional. For those who want to make changes or modifications, I have included the Fusion 360 file for their reference. I'm glad you're enjoying this project! Edited: April 12, 2020 The original design was sufficient, but based on my wife's feedback, I made some improvements to the hole size and grip. The holes are now significantly larger than before, but they won't pass a US dime. However, they work well in moist beach sand or when there are pieces of shells present.
