Metal C128D Floppy Lock Plus Replacement for broken floppy lock on a Commodore C128D retro-computer with metal version. Plus stands for the extra material surrounding the "half-moon" plug, compared to the original floppy lock. The floppy drive should be an 1571 model to fit perfectly. The axis for the floppy mechanics is 15mm long, longer than on 1541-II models for C64. Best printed in ABS to ensure strength. Important Note: The inner of the "half-moon" needs reworking to fit smoothly, done by rotary tool, for example. Don't try to push or force the plug onto the floppy mechanics - they may get damaged! Two versions of the lock exist: One part lock: Must be printed with support (more than one try may be needed to achieve good results). Two parts lock: Can be printed without any support and must be glued together. Acetone is a perfect glue for ABS plastics. Post-printing manual reworking required! The inner axis (half-moon-plug) needs reworking because some material from the print can make it too small! Don't try to press the lock on the floppy drive without doing this.
