Metal Bed Frame Corner Cap

I'm set on bringing my own project to life before this year runs its course. We flipped our bed sideways for more space, leaving the metal frame in full view. My wife is always running into the metal bedframe with her shin, so I decided it was time to create a cover to reduce those annoying hits. The new design needs to snap on better and incorporate a gap for adding rubber padding inserts. Simple as it may seem, learning from this project will be invaluable and something practical at that. Instructions: I used SketchUp to tackle the task. Experimenting with several versions, I found it was more efficient to create the whole design in one piece - a solid 2in x 2in rectangle carved out into the perfect shape.
