Metabo 14.4V Battery Powerbank / Connector

thingiverse

This device converts METABO batteries into portable power supplies, making them compatible with various systems. It's designed for 14.4V batteries but can be easily adapted to work with 18V or 32V batteries by adding additional notches to the connector, which requires some coding modifications. The FreeCAD files are included as usual. The connector should be printed upright, standing on its side with two wire holes facing upwards. On the other hand, the housing should be printed upside down, ensuring ventilation openings align with the build plate. Simple crimp-on spade connectors (~6mm wide) are used for connection. The case encloses an XL4015 DC-DC Step Down module that can be found online and adjusted to your desired voltage. The case is secured to the connector using 4 M3x25 screws and 4 M3 hex nuts. This device can function independently if you don't need to convert voltage, or it can serve as a contact cover (without connectors) for safe transportation of unconnected batteries.
