Meshbot 2

thingiverse

Meshbot 2.0 includes more advanced sensors, such as front and back edge detection, an ultrasonic ping sensor for distance measurement, a long-distance IR sensor, and four IR proximity sensors for wall detection. This bot is designed to work with an Arduino Mega, Adafruit motor controller, voltage controller, Pololu motors, a 30T track set and sprockets, an 8AA battery holder, an 8ohm speaker, a lighted on/off switch, and a red interrupt switch for resets. The bot's name, "Meshbot," comes from its use of mesh features in Xbee antenna products to enable robot-to-robot and robot-to-operator communication. The assembly process is shown in pictures, and an Arduino shield specific to this project is being developed for release soon, along with the software. Key parts include a 30T track set, two motors, a ping sensor, four 10cm Sharp distance sensors, screws, a speaker, a motor controller, and an Arduino Mega.
