Mesh Modeling Exercise 01: Create a Low-Poly Model of a Simple Object Objective: To practice mesh modeling techniques by creating a low-poly model of a simple object, such as a cube or a sphere. Requirements: * Familiarity with mesh modeling software * Basic understanding of polygonal modeling * Ability to use tools and features in mesh modeling software Instructions: 1. Open your mesh modeling software and create a new project. 2. Choose a simple object to model, such as a cube or a sphere. 3. Use the polygonal modeling tool to create a basic shape for your object. 4. Refine your shape by adding more polygons and adjusting their size and position. 5. Use the modeling tools to add details and features to your object. 6. Experiment with different techniques and settings to achieve the desired level of detail. Deliverables: * A low-poly model of a simple object * A screenshot or image of the final model * A brief description of the techniques used to create the model Assessment: Your mesh modeling skills will be assessed based on the quality and detail of your model, as well as your ability to use the software effectively. Grading Criteria: * Quality of the model: 40% * Detail and realism: 30% * Use of software features: 20% * Clarity and effectiveness of instructions: 10% Note: This exercise is designed to be completed individually.
