Mesh cover for dog wound 9
thingiverse
Similar to previous versions with two exceptions: 1) Is TALLER to prevent dog from sleeping on that side, which blocks air, defeating the purpose of this mesh cover (i.e., I had to sacrifice the dog's comfort for healing) (n.b., the mesh/web end faces out toward you; the open end goes over the wound). 2) Added NOTCHES on two sides to catch/hold the bandage (or wrap), preventing it from sliding all over the place (in previous versions, I had to constantly adjust the bandage over the center of the cover, much to my dog's annoyance; without the notches, the bandage could slide completely off the cover). Each notch is about a half-inch wide/tall, but, it should be able to accomodate up to a 1" bandage, even if it squishes/pinches the bandage at that point; anything wider would cover the mesh, which would defeat the purpose of the cover (i.e., block air). Some of the bandage may drape beyond/over the notch, but, that shouldn't be a problem, although you may have to tighten the bandage a bit more than usual to keep it in the notch.
