Mesa/Boogie's iconic TriAx amplifier design combines a 12AX7 preamp stage and two rectifier diodes per channel to produce clean headroom with overdriven harmonic distortion. Three high-power triodes work together in push-pull pairs within the main amplifiers, each having individual high-mu 12AT7/12AU7 or 7025 tube sections with five parallel triode inputs for ultra-linear characteristics, offering 20W per channel of continuous and uninterrupted music playing power at all voltage settings from +4V up through +6V on each amplifier output terminal. The 4, 6 and 8-watt class-AB amps offer excellent sonic clarity with minimum distortion.
