MESA Blaster - Talon Mag Conversion Kit
thingiverse
Remixed customized 3d parts for the MESA blaster available from Shan Engineering on Etsy. Get the base files and instructions from there! I printed at 2.0mm walls and 25% infil, but you could probably use less. I'm still tweaking files, so any notes you have would be appreciated! Primary pieces: 1 - Shortened Magwell - Designed for Talon magazines 2 - Extended Mag Release to reach the Talon's higher mounting point 3 - Extended Plunger tube back cap To get the additional stroke functioning: 1 - You will need to shorten the priming bars approximately 34mm to make up for how far forward the front of the plunger was moved. 2 - You may need to make new holes for the plunger tube front approximately 34mm forward of their position on the original schematics. 3 - (optional) A 3rd set of screw holes are provisioned on the plunger back cap. These should end up 3" from the rear of the angle iron. I haven't needed them, but they are there. Optional pieces 1 - Extended plunger rod (the base MESA files also include an spacer for this, but I wanted one piece) 2 - K25 spring retainer (K25 had a perfect frequency and weight for me, but the base Longshot and McMaster retainers didn't quite control it, so I made my own. This is designed for the extended plunger rod above, and will interfere with catching on the base fileset.
