So, this idea came up because of a tweet: https://twitter.com/DempMcgee/status/1241347461307867136?s=20 It inspired me to create an even larger version that fits inside the box, which also serves as a forced air system. This model is 6x4 inches and runs on no electricity, relying solely on its design. The exterior of this passive filter measures 6.5x3 inches. I've used M3 screws to secure the top in place, compressing the gasket at the same time. These screws are screwed directly into brass inserts instead of being threaded into the plastic itself. The gasket is a mere 1/16th inch thick and I believe it's best suited with silicone-based material - or perhaps the correct rubber would work just as well. The outlet on this filter accommodates 1-inch hosing/tubing, which can be purchased from online stores. I recommend avoiding PVC tubing, however, as I've read it may emit unpleasant fumes. For the filter media itself, you can use HEPA filters or MERV 13 filters, cutting them into pieces to fit the inside dimensions of the box.
