Merry Go Round Wedding Cake Topper

<p>I made the paddles for the cake topper 0.8 thick and tilted the blade supports at 45 degrees. &nbsp;The front of the leading edge of the paddles is about vertical when installed. &nbsp;This may reduce the turbulence a bit. &nbsp;</p><p>The candles are from Michaels and cost $3.99 for 20 (with their normal 20'% discount). &nbsp;</p><p>I tried to minimize weight on the support by having .8 mm thick blades.</p><p>The spars' edges need a light sanding to allow a light press fit of the paddles onto the spars.</p><p>Ooops. &nbsp;The candles produce hot gas that is too hot for PLA, which degrades soon after the system started to turn. &nbsp;So, next time, I may try PTEG, which has a higher melt temperature, and/or make the base support taller, and/or change the paddle material to wood.</p><p>If anyone wants me to make this topper viable for their wedding, please let me know and I will modify the design to make it work. &nbsp;No charge.</p>
