My Niece Wanted a Husky Mermaid Dog, But I Was Stumped - Until Thingiverse Came to the Rescue My niece had her heart set on a husky mermaid dog that could keep her company with her beloved mermaid dolls, but no matter where I looked, I couldn't find anything that fit the bill. Fortunately for me and my niece, the amazing community over at thingiverse stepped up in a big way. By remixing several different models, I was able to create this adorable critter from scratch. A huge shout-out goes to the following talented makers on thingiverse who helped make this project possible: * [http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:767995](http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:767995) - 3d Jointed Puppy Dog (Body) * [http://www.thingaverse.com/thing:225362](http://www.thingaverse.com/thing:225362) - Fire Husky by HelloBard (Head) * [http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:164317](http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:164317) - Loggerhead Sea Turtle (Poseable Flippers) * [http://www.thingaverse.com/thing:489104](http://www.thingaverse.com/thing:489104) - Thresher - shark bot #ModioChallenge (Tail) **Print Settings** I used the following print settings to bring this husky mermaid dog to life: Printer: Micromake delta printer Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 35% **Important Printing Notes** Here are a few crucial printing notes to keep in mind: * The husky body must be printed with supports touching the build surface ONLY for the joints to work properly. * To achieve the best results, print the tail upright with the coupler facing upwards.
