This device secures the Parking Brake switch on Air Brake equipped Motor Coaches, safeguarding it in the Parked position with a long shank padlock shackle that locks into place. Mainly used to prevent pets or youngsters from accidentally releasing the parking brake system, it's not an anti-theft device but rather a practical solution for safe operation. A common scenario where this device is useful is when stopping for fuel and leaving one puppy unattended inside while fueling outside, with full air tanks, transmission in Neutral, and a slight slope that could make the coach roll away if the parking brake is released. The first attempt at this design failed due to ABS de lamination on thin-walled structures; a revised model using modified dimensions and nylon filament is underway.
