Merillat Drawer Rail Supports
thingiverse
We had a bracket break on our kitchen cabinet drawer, causing the entire thing to crash down. After searching online for a replacement part, we found out that the part has been discontinued for quite some time now. We took rough and quick measurements, printed the new part, and reassembled everything with success. Our drawer is working perfectly again! 2017-03-18 Update: It's almost been a year since the first print when, to our surprise, it broke last night too. I revamped the design to make it thicker and stronger, switched from PLA to PETG filament, and printed the part as walls only to increase its strength even further. Since we were redesigning anyway, we took more accurate measurements of the original which are now in the updated piece, and added a mirror copy for the left side too, just in case you need it. Besides the file names, the parts are labeled on them "L" and "R" to help prevent confusion. Print Settings: Printer: Prusa i3 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.1 - 0.3 mm Infill: 100% Notes: Increase your number of walls around the entire print so that it comes off as a solid wall, which will significantly increase its strength. We also imagine that using nylon or carbon fiber filaments would make it even stronger.
