Mercy's Caduceus Staff from Overwatch
thingiverse
This model is my interpretation of Mercy's healing staff from Overwatch. While not entirely faithful to the original, it captures the essence of the in-game version with a few deliberate omissions to ensure durability and long-term usability as a prop. This intricate design demands extensive post-finishing work to achieve the desired look. Instead of using printed hardware, I opted for real components throughout, which are listed below. To complete this prop, you'll need the following items: Staff shaft: Order a 5-foot ABS tube with an outer diameter of 1 1/4 inches and an inner diameter of 1 inch from McMaster-Carr (catalog #123/3644). Staff inner shaft: Purchase a 2-foot polycarbonate tube with an outer diameter of 1 inch and an inner diameter of 3/4 inch from McMaster-Carr (catalog #123/142). 6x M4 screws measuring 1.25 inches in length 4x M4 screws measuring 0.75 inches in length Assorted button head screws featuring 6-32 and 8-32 threads The fins on this prop are articulated, but the rest of it is static. I chose to paint mine in a cobalt scheme, although the original model features a white staff. The design allows for channels to be added for LED strips on the inside of the fins, simulating the light emitted by the staff in-game. Unfortunately, I ran out of time before the convention and was unable to install them in my prop.
