Mercury Outboard Throttle Lever Part# 44425
thingiverse
This is a temporary replacement Lever Throttle for an outboard motor. (Mercury Part# 44425) Apparently, this part tends to break easily, resulting in no throttle control from your outboard engine. I created this as a temporary fix to get back on the water while waiting for the replacement piece I had ordered. If used for extended periods of time, I would probably add a sleeve over the screw threads to prevent wear and tear on the mating throttle linkage. To make it more durable than the original one, I used a 6mm x 35mm bolt as the post, which is stronger than printing one directly. Before inserting the screw, I tapped the hole in the print to ensure a secure fit. I printed this Lever Throttle in ABS at 90% infill and only plan on using it temporarily until I get the replacement part. So far, it has worked perfectly and will be worth keeping in the boat as an extra. It's a long shot posting this, but maybe someone else searching for a similar solution will find it useful and save their day out on the water too.
