For this rendition of Mercury, I drew upon the completed 2012 global map constructed from images captured by Messenger. Additional information can be accessed at http://messenger.jhuapl.edu/the_mission/mosaics.html . The map utilized within the model is reduced to half its original size. Random annotations of craters and features on Mercury were incorporated. For further insight into these features, visit the Messenger website.
