Mercury cell adapters

Using older cameras can be frustrating due to the use of outdated mercury batteries, which are now prohibited. One solution is to employ a suitable diode (see instructions). The assembly requires a DO35 package. I built several adapters: SR44 to PX625: works well, SR44 to PX675: can be tricky or impossible to insert with the camera as both have the same size and the adapter adds thickness; SR41 to PX675: Haven't tested due to unavailability of SR41 cells, but you can adapt it using the provided source. The last image shows a printed photo featuring a diode inserted correctly. Make sure to install the diode in the correct direction in relation to the battery. Instructions: Print. Insert Diode (one option is http://www.rs-components.com/web/p/diodes/2513025). Insert into camera with proper orientation. Enjoy your modified camera.
