Mercury 1 mod mod.. Steppers moved to the front. Included mounts for the rear, but can use the original Mercury mounts. You will need QTY:8 6.5mm long 3mm inserts, 5-5.5mm wide. 5mm bolt washers, 1-2mm thick for the rear mounts and the stepper motors, QTY:8 QTY:4 30mm long 3mm socket cap bolts for the front left motor mount. QTY:4 45mm long 3mm socket cap bolts for the front right motor mount. QTY:12 5mm T nuts Various length 5mm bolts for the mounting of the stepper motor mounts and rear idler brackets. QTY: 16 .5mm thick 5mm bore bearing shims or QTY:8 1mm thick 5mm bore bearing shims. Get the ,5 so you can measure the height of the bearing rests and file if needed, add one more shim if needed. QTY: 10 F695 bearings - 2 for the stepper motors and 4 for the rear idlers. Belts need to be flipped and use all F695 bearings for the idlers and motor shaft support QTY: 4 50mm long 3mm bolts for the tension of the stepper motor mount. QTY:2 2mm, 8mm long bolts (Y-limit switch) QTY:2 2mm nuts (Y- limit switch) QTY:1 3mm button head bolt, 6mm long (Y limit switch) The stepper mounts are right above the bolt for the 2020 extrusion in the corner. You can get a longer bolt and use for the stepper motor or move the stepper motor forward 15mm. Or use a countersunk bolt for the frame and T-nut the front motor mount hole. Included are some motor mount braces. Use them if you have to, but I don't think they are necessary. Feedback welcome. I have not tested this on ender 5/5+, so send some feedback on your results and I can make something to correct any errors. Moving the motors to the front increased acceleration 4K on Y and 4K on X. Try for yourself! The motors are now supported on the end of the shaft with F695 bearing so belt tension does not pull the shaft over and create a flexing motion.
