These old Mercedes W123 cars often have a faulty bonnet (hood) latch pull handle that breaks easily. This problem may also affect W124 models. The curved design of this part requires some finesse when replacing it. To avoid any potential issues, I removed the part while it was still warm and then carefully bent it into its correct shape before allowing it to cool completely. Next, I needed to drill out a hole for the metal pin that holds everything together. After these adjustments, the new handle works extremely well.
