Mercedes W123 300D 240D Ignition Lock Cylinder Housing

I wanted to make a replacement lock housing for this part : Genuine Mercedes Ignition Lock Housing; Heavy Black Metal Cover Over Tumbler; Threaded | 1164620023. The problem is the steering lock jams on a w123/w126 and you are not able to easily unscrew the metal housing if you cannot turn the key. So you are left with drilling and sawing to remove the lock. My idea, was to have a barrel that I could just cut off with a hot knife. I know...now any 13 year old can steal my car. But I don't think they want it and more likely I'll be in a parking lock someplace unable to turn the key on my car. This problem will literally leave you stuck so I wanted something easy to remove. This is part of an ongoing problem of fixing and restoring my column lock. It's a temporary bandaid to make sure I don't get stuck. In the greater scheme of things this is a pretty bad idea. But it is a free bad idea so have at it.
