I recently upgraded the navigation system on my Mercedes W204 (Model 2011) to an innovative and functional tool. To find a reliable solution for mounting my iPhone 6 as a substitute navigation system, I conducted extensive research but ultimately failed to discover a suitable approach that met my requirements. My custom design fulfills the following specifications: - Fast removal or installation in mere seconds - Unshakeable stability during slowing down, acceleration, and navigating curves - Minimal wobbling while driving - Simple design for an uncluttered cockpit - The option to charge my phone during driving This design complements the Mercedes Audio 50 APS system and integrates seamlessly into its cover. To install, simply snap the two arms onto the cover as demonstrated in one of the attached images. The iPhone 6's lens serves as a built-in locking mechanism, effectively holding the device securely in place. For optimal functionality, position your phone with the camera lens facing right; conversely, the stand will also work adequately due to the weight of your phone providing enough stability. Currently, I am facing a challenge: once you snap the iPhone mount into the cover, it becomes impossible to close the APS 50's lid.
