The Mercedes-Benz E class W124 Kombi model is part of the 1984/85 to 1995/96 version of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class line. It replaced the W123 models and was succeeded by the W210 E-Class. Launched in North America as a 1986 model, it was sold through 1995. The Kombi model features a mid-sized vehicle platform that underwent extensive development from 1976 to 1981. It has a separate spring and damper front suspension with a rubber top mount, and a Mercedes multi-link axle rear suspension introduced in 1982. Estate cars, as well as optional saloons and coupés, have Citroen-like rear self-leveling suspension with suspension struts, gas-filled suspension spheres for damping, and an under-bonnet pressurizing pump. The R129 SL roadster was based on the W124 platform, and later models were equipped with one of the roadster's engines to create the 500 E. Available formats include .FBX, .DAE, .3DS, .STL, and .BLEND, with all textures available for easy placement in designs. Blender was used with the cycles engine to create materials using a simple shader and BSDF principista node connected to textures. Technical assistance is available upon request after downloading the design.
