Meopta Opemus variable contrast filter holders
thingiverse
Filter holders for Meopta Opemus enlarger, or any other enlarger taking a 7x7cm variable contrast or color correction filters, can be created to hold these essential components securely in place. While filter holders are not strictly necessary for most enlargers where the filter is above the lens, fingerprints on the gels are a bother and must be avoided. Assembly of the filter holder involves cutting the variable contrast/color correction filter gel to fit the frame snugly. Next, glue the frame together to secure the filter gel in its designated space (a single drop of cyanoacrylate glue on each corner should suffice). If your enlarger's filter drawer is too small for the identification tab on top filter frames or if you want to stack color correction filters, print 2 "bottom" frames for each filter. Optional: A filter case can be printed to store framed filters. The VC filter case has space for 12 standard variable-contrast B&W filters (00 to 5, in 1/2 grade steps) with identification tabs. In contrast, the color filter case includes space for 22 standard color correction filters (CMY 50, 40, 30, 25, 20, 10, 5 & 1 UV) without identification tabs. Filter holders have been tested and verified to fit a Meopta Opemus III with the Meocolor above-lens filter adapter. Depending on how precise you are with frame assembly, light sanding of the frames may be required for optimal results.
