Mendocino motor
thingiverse
The Mendocino motor zooms to life as a solar-powered magnetically levitated electric motor. It boasts a four-sided rotor block with four high-performance polycrystalline 0.58-volt solar cells, precision-made by YH in a compact 46x76mm design (visit http://www.conrad.com for details). Two coils, intricately wound with 140 turns of lacquer-coated 0.35mm wire, work in harmony to harness the motor's energy. Levitation magnets take center stage as six powerful neodymium-magnets, each measuring 18x6x10mm, come into play. Strategically positioned under the rotor block, these magnetic rings provide a robust magnetic field that enables the motor to defy gravity. Watch in awe as this remarkable technology comes alive in the video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osreQ-K0ta0.
