MendelMax Z axis mounts for M6 threaded rod
thingiverse
Experience this revised Z-axis mount designed for M6 threaded rod integration on your MendelMax's Z stage motors. Unlike the original, it utilizes smaller M6 Thrust Bearings instead of M8 or 608 bearings. Enhancements include an easier printing process, filled sections for improved aesthetics, and added strength. The clamp is also incorporated into the model. Don't forget to update your firmware, as steps per mm change from 1.25mm (M8 threaded rod) to 1mm with M6 rods. Remove the divide by 1.25 from machine setup (3200/1.25 or 1600/1.25 to 3200 for 16 microstepping, or 1600 for 8x microstepping). Switching to M6 on the Z-axis improves results and avoids competition with M8 Smooth rods for X carriage position control in vertical movements.
