MendelMax Y End Idler with Belt Tensioning

MendelMax Y End Idler with Belt Tensioning

thingiverse

To tension my Y belt effortlessly, I added a tensioner to the Y end idler on my MendelMax. The modification works well; however, be cautious not to overtighten it. I later fixed the mounts by eliminating the ridge around and above the hole. To install this part, you'll need 3 M5 20mm screws, 5 M5 flat nuts, 2 washers, and 2 M5 10mm screws. For the bearings, use a 2" 5/16 bolt with 2 nuts or alternatives like leftover drill rod and nuts. The idler fits 2 bearings and 2 washers between them, and I provided files for mounts with and without ridges.
