MendelMax X Axis

The X-Axis assembly for the MendelMax 3D Printer is a crucial component that requires precise alignment of rod holes on both idler and motor end assemblies. Correcting these misalignments ensures accurate movement of the print head, while also allowing for proper tension on rods. Improved printed parts have been incorporated into the modified printer head to enhance overall performance. Previous versions of this assembly include v1 and v2: v2: - Corrected rod holes alignment on idler and motor end assemblies. - Added screws on idler to adjust rod length or tighten assembly more than on motor side. - Modified printer head with improved printed parts for enhanced performance. v1: - The initial version of the X-Axis assembly for the MendelMax 3D Printer was created, but it had limitations that needed to be addressed. Assembly components: 1. X End Motor and Idler: - Created by Prusa, modified to fit the Mendelmax 3d printer. - Increased distance between bearings and trapezoidal nut to 30mm for improved stability. - Added screws to secure bearings in place. 2. Extruder: - Designed by Prusa, adapted by Bondtech to accommodate BMG extruder (support available at https://github.com/BondtechAB/Bondtech_Prusa_i3). - Upgraded filament sensor to Duet3D filament monitor for enhanced precision. - Replaced P.I.N.D.A. probe with SN04-N Inductive Proximity Sensor (5mm) for improved accuracy. - Swapped square nuts and threaded inserts with hexagonal nuts for better durability. - Reinforced the blower fan mount to ensure stable operation.
