This OpenSCAD-made object is based on MishaT's .stl design and has been made stronger by reinforcing the joint between its 2 planes. It's designed for use with 5mm screws for mounting onto a MendelMax printer and 8mm threaded rods for the spool holder. For spool positioning, it uses 608ZZ bearings and M8 nuts. Two of these objects are necessary per MendelMax 1.5 printer. Download, print, and enjoy; if you have specific requirements not addressed in this design, please let me know, as I'll upload the OpenSCAD file once cleaned up with added code comments.
