This is a remix of an exceptionally well-designed LCD enclosure for the RepRap Wilson. I've skillfully extended the bottom edge a bit, added two precisely-sized holes just big enough for 10mm M5 bolts so that it can be securely bolted to the MendelMax's top rail, and carefully closed up the reset button hole slightly, as I had no buttons that would fit the large hole in the original. Installation is surprisingly similar to the original: Print out the LCD case and the mount Insert 4 M3 nuts into the LCD case mount near the 4 corners Insert two M5 machine screws, with washers, in the two bottom-most holes Insert your RepRap Discount Smart LCD Controller into the case Insert M3 8mm screws into all four corners and gently tighten Use the t-nuts (preferably along the top rail) and firmly attach the assembly to the MendelMax Due to how close the LCD is to the M5 screw head, I highly recommend using a hex-head screw and an 8mm open-ended wrench to tighten down the enclosure to the MendelMax top rail. It's strongly advised to use one or two washers with the M5 screws, to prevent cracking of the enclosure around the mounting holes. Print Settings Printer: Modified MendelMax 1.5 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: 0.3mm Infill: N/A Notes: I used a raft in order to get a nicer-looking front plate for mine, but it's by no means necessary. The one pictured was printed in PLA on the machine it is mounted on. How I Designed This OpenSCAD to import the original STL and add bits, Slic3r to slice, and pronsole to print. Add your own special touches as desired.
