This set of filament guides is designed for a MendelMax printer to eliminate tangling issues during printing. It features two upper guide options, including a fixed curved guide and a rotating wheel, suitable for 3mm filament, with the latter also compatible with 1.75mm filament. The side-mount spool holder works with most filament spools. A 1/1/2014 update added a dual wheel upper guide and dual bearing lower guide for even lower friction and improved part print quality. To build the rotating upper filament guide wheel, you'll need 2x M8 x 30mm SHCS, 2x M8 nuts, ~4x M8 washers, and 4x 608 bearings. Print two of these wheels, and place 3-4 washers between the bearings to prevent binding. The lower guide requires 2x 608 bearings and 3x M8 x 30mm SHCS with holes sized for tapping without using a nut on the back. Other parts are self-explanatory.
