Summary A Set of filament guides designed for a MendelMax printer. The creator experienced numerous problems with filament tangling during printing, so these guides were developed to eliminate any possible issues. The set includes two options for the upper guide: one fixed curved guide and one rotating wheel. All guides are designed specifically for 3mm filament. The rotating guide wheel can also work effectively with 1.75mm filament. The side-mount spool holder is compatible with most filament spools. On January 1, 2014, a significant update was made to the design: dual wheel upper guides and dual bearing lower guides were added for even lower friction filament feeding, which should result in better part print quality. Instructions The rotating upper filament guide wheel requires the following components to build: -2x M8 x 30mm SHCS -2x M8 nut -~4x M8 washers -4x 608 bearings You will need to print two identical wheels. It is recommended that you place three to four washers between the two bearings in each wheel, so when the M8 screw is tightened it does not apply a side-load to the bearings and bind them up. The lower filament guide requires two 608 bearings and three M8x30mm SHCS. The holes are sized for tapping, and no nut is needed on the back. All other parts are self-explanatory.
