On October 28, 2013, an improved version (Upper Filament Guide 2) was uploaded, featuring a smaller hole and a closer placement to the stepper motor for enhanced reliability. Previously, my MendelMax 2.0 printer exhibited squeaking due to the flexing of the upper filament guide, resulting in delamination. Despite replacing the part, the issue persisted until I designed a new one with a larger hole and reduced friction between the filament and guide, which resolved the problem.
