MendelMax 2.0: SPDT Switch Plate w/ Guard
thingiverse
A switch plate accommodates a SPDT switch with a 13mm diameter mount, positioned between either the left or right pair of rails within the machine's interior. To guard against accidental contact, it is mounted internally, allowing the switch to be recessed within Misumi rails. Wide-spaced guards permit easy tightening of retaining nuts for large hands. Required hardware includes (2) 5mm t-nuts and (2) 5mm x 10mm screws. Measurements are 70mm tall, 55mm wide, and 6mm thick. Printed at a speed of 30mm/s using 0.4 infill and 0.300mm layer heights on a MendelMax 2.0 within approximately 60 minutes, the part weighs around 30 grams at 100% infill. At a filament cost of $35 per kilogram, this component would amount to roughly $1. In the uploaded photos, text filling was done using acrylic paint by hand; both models featuring On/Off text and one without are provided.
