MendelMax 1.5 Highly Movable fan 120MM

This is a custom ball joint mount designed specifically for 120 mm fans on MandelMax 1.5 printers or similar models with identical extrusions. The two ball joints provide exceptional adjustability and reach, allowing you to position the fan exactly where needed. If more length is required, simply stack multiple Ball2 parts. I've combined elements from another project (link provided on the right) to create this versatile mount. It can be installed anywhere on the frame for optimal performance. The example mounting location is shown above. This setup greatly enhances high-speed PLA printing capabilities and enables you to push your machine's limits even further, as long as other machine constraints are considered. Included in this package are shorter versions of ball2, connector, and base parts (_S suffix). To assemble the mount, print one of each part but two locking bolts. I used PLA material with 25% infill for all parts except the locking bolt, which required 40% infill for added strength. Applying a drop of oil or a small amount of grease to the bolt makes tightening and loosening effortless. To secure the bracket to the connector, use two small wood screws.
