Mendel90 X Carriage for Titan Aero

Mendel90 X Carriage for Titan Aero

thingiverse

Been tinkering with a Mendel90 build when I stumbled upon E3D's Titan Aero and thought why not incorporate it into my design? This is my first Thingiverse upload, so hopefully, this tutorial helps another maker out. I've got the printer up and running, tomorrow I'll test its capabilities by printing a new object. I've attached the AutoCAD files along with igs files for anyone looking to modify the design. Note on the diffuser: The Titan Aero is remarkably compact - both an advantage and a challenge. It's essential to leave sufficient clearance around the rods, which can be tricky when working with the Mendel90 frame. I've struggled to get the nozzle low enough without obstructing the motor or sitting on the rods. The most difficult part was fitting the diffuser into the design between the rods. After printing and installing this setup, I found it fits well around the rods, and the blower works efficiently by directing air away from the nozzle when activated. As a first-time user of a printer with a blower/diffuser, I'm eager to see the results tomorrow when I print something new.
