Hello, I am the happy owner of a Mendel90 printer for some time now. The X-axis has been a disappointment, even admitted by its creator. I decided to make a small upgrade:) There were a few issues... So I designed an improvement that only changes the plastic parts in the X-axis, and adds 6mm threaded rods. The motor was flipped and the belt moved to the cartesian carriage direction. The Y-carriage was adjusted for the extruder (Yruds/Yegah). LM12UU bearings were used, along with fi12 rails. M10 nuts for the Z-axis threaded rods and a zeroing axis automation mount were added. X-end parts have holes for lubricating the Z-axis rods;) I recommend printing at 102% scale to eliminate material shrinkage issues and drill any holes with appropriate drill bits. Best regards, M.
