Mendel Y Foot For Deposition Bed

Mendel Y Foot For Deposition Bed

thingiverse

Four feet support a Mendel deposition bed; no bearings needed as it rests on semi-circular Y rails. The bed levelling is done by tightening 2 Nylok nuts, compressing the spring structure. M4x40 machine screw heads are recessed in attachment brackets with three small holes for No.4 countersunk woodscrews. Captive M4 screws don't require washers due to recessed nuts. Adjustable flat upper surfaces provide a deposition area, best suited for PLA due to low friction. Washers under Nylok nuts are recommended or use two ordinary locked-off nuts instead. For alternative materials, use 1/4" steel piano wire with lubrication; assembly details available at http://reprap.org/wiki/Y_Bed_Simplified.
