Mendel X/Z Interface Bracket

This 3-part bracket combines all 11 parts of an X axis end piece and Z axis nut holder, requiring only 6 screws and no bearings to assemble. It features a semi-circular pad for hot-gluing a limit sensor. The assembly includes two M8 nuts with internal printed anti-backlash springs to attach the Z drive rods. To assemble, place the perforated tab of each spring into the respective slot on the main body and retain it with an M4x40 bolt and nut (no washer). The two semi-circular rail guides face away from the nut trap. For assemblies on either end of the X axis, fit screws to the clamps and insert an M4x40 screw with washer and a retained nut in the two remaining holes (do not fully tighten until on rails). Ensure the threaded rod and smooth rod on the Z axes are parallel. Before threading the assembly onto the Z axis drive rod, pinch two M8 nuts into the nut trap to compress the plastic springs for anti-backlash. When first used, add oil to the threaded rods and run the Z axis up and down a few times to wear it in (cooling may be needed during this process).
