This bracket serves as a mounting point for securing wire harnesses. In my setup, it was utilized for attaching the X-axis wiring and extruder carriage wiring on a Sells Mendel printer. The 3mm hole allows for easy insertion of 3mm filament to provide additional support for the wire harness, while the opening securely captures the wiring in place.
