This is another design for upper Z supports and Z couplers for Prusa Mendel, now upgraded with both 8mm and 5/16" couplers. **Attaching the Coupler** First, attach the coupler to the Z-Motor Mount using ~16mm bolts. The coupler features a built-in tension nut socket where you can add a set screw to the motor drive shaft - this is an optional feature, but it's a great way to eliminate slippage. **Assembling the Coupler** Next, attach the outer housing to the Z threaded rod using double nuts tightened against each other at the top end of the threaded rod. This ensures a secure fit and prevents any potential issues. **Key Feature: 608ZZ Bearing** The coupler features a 608ZZ bearing in the bottom of the outer housing that allows the Z rod to ride smoothly, eliminating any wobble or vibration - I've noticed a huge improvement in print quality since making this modification!
