Mendel squashed froglet
thingiverse
Create a y-chassis similar to Mendel's, using only a saw and drill press. The dimensions of your board should be 200x136mm. Affix the template to the board with masking tape and puncture all hole centers. Remove the paper and center punch these points. Drill the large holes (6mm) and connect them using a saw, creating 6 slots. Then drill the small holes (3.3mm) for M3 bolts and medium-sized holes (4.2mm to 4.5mm) for M4 bolts. Note that the inner bearing bracket holes are missing initially; these will be marked after adjusting the bearings. A recommended material is Dibond, a 3mm PE-aluminum laminate that's strong, lightweight, and easy to work with. Use it for all Mendel thick sheet parts.
