This improved design for the Bling Carriage incorporates several enhancements over its predecessor, including: (a) added captured M3 nut cavities for the tensioner(s), (b) additional space for belt passage, and (c) a crucial flex member on the non-tension side to maintain top and bottom bearing contact, reducing x-axis wobble. It is also compatible as a drop-in replacement for the standard Mendel X-carriage. Drawing inspiration from Buback's OpenX Carriage, this design features modifications such as: (1) an integrated belt tensioner, (2) a fan mounting, and (3) some artistic elements that add a touch of bling. The intent was to optimize the 40mm x 40mm square space for accommodating larger profile extruders while maintaining style. The full plate is provided; individual pieces will be posted later.
